You shouldn’t ever miss meals, and you should always keep wholesome snacks on hand so you can obtain them without having to prepare anything first. Select one or two days during the week when you will complete enough preparation to last until the following prep day.

By dividing the week into days, you can ensure that everything you consume is fresh and no more than three days old. Some things won’t last a week. Simply put, fresh food tastes better.

Several ideas for an example diabetes food plan are provided below:

Breakfast:

A serving of baked oatmeal or a healthy cold cereal.
fat-free milk, 1 cup
Tea or coffee with half an orange or grapefruit

or

1 c low-fat vanilla yoghurt or cottage cheese
1/2 cup chunked fresh or canned fruit, along with yoghurt or cottage cheese and tea or coffee.

Lunch:

A 3 oz. lean turkey breast sandwich on whole grain bread or pita with salad.
1 teaspoon salad dressing or mayo
1 small glass of iced green tea or apple water with lemon.

or

small tossed salad with 1 oz. feta cheese, tomato, onion, radish, and cucumber
3-ounce can of tuna
iced green tea or water with lemon and two tablespoons of Greek vinaigrette

Dinner:

3 ounces of skinless, boneless chicken breast.
single medium potato
tea or fat-free milk, 1 cup fresh green beans

or

3-ounce fish (salmon, tilapia, cod, perch, etc)
1 cup of cooked rice pilaf with sliced carrots tea or fat-free milk

Snacks:

1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese or yoghurt with cut-up fruit, or 3 cups no-butter popcorn.

or

6 crackers and low-fat cheese

You need to stay hydrated, so get used to drinking water. By preventing the sugar from building up too much in your bloodstream, staying hydrated will make it easier for you to control your blood sugar levels. There are also several unsweetened smoothies to lose belly fat.

You can prevent blood sugar spikes and maintain the insulin dosage your doctor has prescribed for you by spreading out your daily carbohydrate consumption evenly.
